Dr Andrew Kiyingi is Specialist Bariatric and General Surgeon with advanced training in minimally invasive surgery. He completed his studies in Sydney, graduated from the University of Otago (NZ) and was awarded the University Gold Medal in General Practice.
Dr Kiyingi completed surgical training at St Vincents Hospital Melbourne and was awarded Fellowship under the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2014.
He has since undertaken three years of advanced sub-specialist training in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery which included the prestigious Phoenix Health Bariatric Fellowship in Liverpool, England in 2016. During this time he spent 12 months working long side world renowned expert Prof David Kerrigan who is one of the pioneers of laparoscopic bariatric surgery in the United Kingdom. Dr Kiyingi was involved in over 300 bariatric procedures which enabled him to master his skills as a surgeon of excellence.
Dr Kiyingi performs all aspects of general surgery including hernia, gallbladder and colonoscopy. He is currently a surgical trainer for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Kiyingi truly values the highest quality of personalised patient care. He offers a prompt service for referrals at short notice.
