DESCRIPTION:A one day course designed to assist health practitioners to:\n– understand the science behind medicinal cannabis\n– develop the necessary skills to confidently assess and advise patients regarding the suitability of medicinal cannabis based on each individual case\n– develop an understanding of the treatment considerations\, dosing and titration to ensure patient safety during cannabis treatment\n– 4 hours of interactive case study and clinical applications workshops \nDr Teresa Towpik is an Australian GP with extensive experience treating her patients with medicinal cannabis.  Dr Towpik has studied the therapeutic properties of medicinal cannabis and has applied this to over forty patients in her practice.  She recently became the second GP in Australia to become an authorised prescriber of medicinal cannabis.
